A Summer Night's Dream. ⁠ ⁠ Another collaboration with Spier, Brett Bailey and the incredible artists and performers at Third World Bunfight. ⁠ 30 performers, in a mix of music, theatre and dance, in the open air at Spier on the 16th December.⁠ ⁠ It always great to get the opportunity to really bring collective creativity and a mish-mash of digital and (mostly) analog techniques together to make an image that's such fun (and slightly sinister).⁠ ⁠ Thanks to all involved in making this!

Constellations. This is Ché @che_adams_16 flamenco dancer. She’s performing in the forest in the strange, beautiful experience that is Constellations. Check it out between now and 19 November at Spier @spierwinefarm Again thanks to director and creative inspiration @brett.bailey.twb (for the fire, this time) and @dominiquehazell (for the light painting on the trees).

Constellations. Years ago I made some pictures of a show that Brett Bailey @brett.bailey.twb created at the Grahamstown Festival and in many ways they were the best images I'd ever made. The show was ipiZombie and it was one of the most incredible things I'd ever seen. ⁠ But somehow in my chaotic life at the time, I never actually gave Brett the images. It was years before he saw them. I was deep in my dysfunction and isolation and Brett was making phenomenal theatre. I shot a beautiful portrait of him a few years later, and again the contact with this brilliant man brought out the best in my work. ⁠ I'd always wanted to work side-by-side with him, but imagined he'd never forgive me for not having my sh*t together all those years before.⁠ So I was very surprised to get a call to shoot the images for Constellations, his new show/experience at Spier.⁠ The artists are incredible, the space is in the forest and the audience move from one location to the next by torch light.⁠ Once again, being involved with Brett has brought out the best in my work!
